I'm sorry for bringing up {unwelcome topic}. I was only trying to help. Clearly, we weren't on the same page in this discussion.
I do wish that we could work on how we communicate with one another. I feel awful when I'm misread, and even worse when what I see as reaching out is instead received as an attack.
